Why use DDNS
After you rebuild a cloud VM or VPS, the public IP may change. A DDNS client shortens downtime by updating DNS on a schedule.
If DNS for your domains is hosted at ZoneEdit, create a dedicated profile in DDNS Updater and manage it alongside home broadband, cloud VMs, or domains at other registrars.
What DDNS Updater does
DDNS Updater is a cross-platform dynamic DNS client. It uses the same configuration model on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and the web, with split IPv4/IPv6 stacks, several ways to discover your public IP, and both manual and scheduled updates.
- Dedicated integration and credentials for ZoneEdit
- Public IP via HTTP, a network interface, or a custom command
- Multiple profiles: separate domains, providers, and uplinks
- Open source: the ddns-updater organization on GitHub
More providers
DDNS Updater also supports dozens of other DNS and DDNS providers. View the full list.
